We are both humbled and grateful to once again welcome you all to the second Intersections Awards Gala. As a New York based not-for-profit, we at Intersections International work to develop transformative solutions to some of the world’s most intractable problems. We bring unexpected voices to a common table and create safe space for interaction within and among communities in conflict. While our efforts seek big-picture answers to age old questions, the specifics of our work spring from the very personal one-on-one interactions we have with individuals and small groups. And we hope this year’s Intersections Awards Gala will provide you with the unique opportunity to engage in those personal exchanges that we feel serves as the necessary underpinning of successful change.
With an evening filled with what will fantastic artistic performances, delicious food, and powerful words of thought by distinguished honorees, such as Mona Eltahawy, we feel that this is a phenomenal opportunity to be engage with likeminded individuals and be inspired to continue forging a common ground for global social justice.
